Services

We are a full-service small animal practice, offering routine/wellness care, diagnosis and treatment of sick pets, and care for emergencies.
 
Examinations: the primary focus of our hospital is wellness care. Wellness care is the prevention of medical problems. It’s foundation is a complete physical examination. A thorough physical exam is the basis for all further recommendations regarding our patients.
 
Immunizations: appropriate immunizations significantly reduce the chances of our pets contracting communicable diseases. Often times, those diseases are fatal, or are expensive to treat. Our hospital can administer a wide range of vaccines, based on the individual pet’s risk factors. When selecting our protocols, we follow the recommendations of the American Animal Hospital Association and American Association of Feline Practitioners when selecting our vaccine protocols.

Surgery: we have a fully equipped surgery room, allowing the doctor to perform routine (spays, neuters, etc), emergency, and advanced surgical procedures. With all of those kinds of surgery, the proper, well maintained, modern equipment is essential to high quality patient care.

   Laboratory: we have a complete on-site laboratory. This allows us to perform routine testing (heartworm and fecal tests, pre-operative screening) as well as diagnosing and monitoring medical problems. Our available laboratory testing includes blood counts, electrolytes, blood gas analysis, urinalysis, serum(blood)chemistries, and endocrine system testing. This allows us to obtain rapid, accurate diagnoses of many common and uncommon medical conditions.                                                                                          

Dentistry: our clinic has modern dental equipment, very similar to what you would find in your own dentist's office.  As good dental hygiene is important in pets as well as people, we are able to provide quality dental services to our patients.

 Anesthesia: our hospital has made a significant investment in modern anesthetic drugs, advanced monitors, and the knowledge to properly use them. This allows sedation and anesthesia that is significantly safer than in previous years. Our staff has also received in-depth training on monitoring patients before, during, and after sedation or anesthesia.

Radiology: our state of the art radiographic (x-ray) equipment allows our doctor to accurately and rapidly diagnose problems in our cats and dogs. With faster, more precise determination of a problem, we are able to more rapidly and effectively treat the pet.

Emergency Care: Dr Weddle brings extensive knowledge and experience in emergency and critical care for small animal patients. Additionally, the clinic is fully capable of treating a full range of emergencies in cats and dogs.

Puppy and Kitten Care: the key to a long, happy, and healthy life is a good start. For cats and dogs, this starts with puppy and kitten care. We provide a wide variety of services, including examinations, fecal and blood tests, housetraining help, nutritional advice, socialization help, and immunizations.

Senior Wellness: as our pets age, we see many things, primarily grey hair, decreased hearing, and perhaps some stiffness when rising. Unfortunately, many problems cannot be seen until they have become quite advanced. Our senior wellness program allows for early diagnosis of the more common (and uncommon) medical conditions that afflict senior cats and dogs. While these problems may not be curable, with early detection, more effective intervention is possible. With early diagnosis and treatment, a longer, better quality of life is achievable.
